課程概述

The course covers English literary works within the time frame of seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The lecture will focus on a selection of texts by various authors, ranging from John Donne to Samuel Johnson, and including female writers such as Margaret Cavendish. A brief introduction to the context of each historical period and text will also be available. This is followed by guided reading of the selected texts and discussions on relevant issues.
